Clinical Practice

Focus

The focus of my practice is supporting people to find their way following an injury or diagnosis that changes the direction of life. This includes people with acquired or traumatic brain injury, stroke survivors, people with aphasia, and their partners/family members. I am registered with, and have seen clients/can accept referrals through the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), the Physician Health Program, Fraser Health Acquired Brain Injury Services and Columbia Speech and Language Services Inc.

There are several online support groups for stroke survivors and for partners that I facilitate and which are sponsored by the March of Dimes/Stroke Recovery Association of BC. Please check their website marchofdimes.ca for the schedule and to register.

Crisis Situations or Immediate Assistance

Unfortunately my practice is currently full so I am not able to accept new clients. If you are seeking help, I encourage you to find a counsellor with timely availability. A good place to begin is asking trusted friends, family members or health professionals for their recommendations. Counselling BC offers a comprehensive directory of private counsellors in Vancouver.

If you are in crisis or looking for immediate assistance, please contact any of the following, depending on where you live and your circumstances:
